Marlin Expeditions FAQs

What you need to know about our all-inclusive, fully curated fishing adventures

Marlin Expeditions provides an inclusive package that covers all of your basic expenses—from the moment you walk out of the airport. The cost includes all meals, charter boats, professional, hands-on instruction, accommodations and airport transfers. Your only concerns are your own airline transportation to the destination, any applicable duties and taxes, and personal expenses.

Our professional instructors deliver a comprehensive course on all aspects of hooking, fighting and landing billfish. From gear familiarization, teamwork, and tournament strategy to fine-tuning the techniques you already have and breaking bad fishing habits, each Marlin Expedition includes hands-on, personalized, side-by-side instruction.

You don’t need to be an experienced fisherman to participate in Marlin Expeditions. Our instructors are there to meet you at your own skill level. Whether you are a novice, a weekend fisherman or a tournament angler, there is always something to learn. In fact, most participants catch their first-ever billfish at Marlin Expeditions and go on to be tournament winners themselves.

No need. Our boats are outfitted with all the best fishing tackle.

Upon arrival at our destination, we take a little time to check in and relax, then meet for cocktails and dinner that evening. Breakfast is served each morning before we go fishing; lunch is served on board, and dinner is served each night.

Marlin Expeditions offers you the opportunity to learn from the best in the business. We pair you with a team of two to three other anglers who share similar fishing skills. What makes our experience unique is that you rotate boats so that you fish with a new instructor, a new boat, and a new crew each day. This allows you to learn from all of the instructors as you prepare for the tournament held on the last day.
